This is a delightful time of year now that warmer weather is more the norm, and everyone deserves to get outside and enjoy life and the local beauty we are surrounded blessed to be surrounded with. This weekend brings the annual old Port Festival to downtown Portland, with a highlight this year being a giant Ferris wheel called The Casco Bay Eye set up on the waterfront in area of Dimillos off commercial street. What once started-off as a one day Saturday event, the annual Old Port Festival now has events each year over a four day period ending this Sunday, June12th this year.
Closer to us here in the Maine Lakes Region there are two upcoming annual favorite events to enjoy during the next two weekends. Always Father’s Day Weekend each year – Father’s Day being next Sunday, June 18 – Naples Maine and the Causeway will be enjoying their biggest event of the year with the Maine Blues Festival which runs Friday evening through Sunday.
