We here at Anne Plummer & Associates do what we do each day because we take pride in helping you, and each of our clients. We want you to feel good about the status of your home or property, whether it be in a neighborhood, waterfront, water access, water view or a mountain view location here in the Maine Lakes Region.
Since it has been a while since we have defined “The Maine Lakes Region” we offer you the following with the caveat that many may have suggestions to adjust this definition a bit. There is no question that the Maine Lakes Region is centered around Sebago Lake and North Windham – now referred to often as simply Windham, Maine – west on US Route 302 to the Naples Maine Causeway, located between Long Lake on your right driving westward, with Brandy Pond to your left. With those dozen miles of Route 302 as a center line to go by, you can use your mobile mapping Apps – and if you are Old School find your Maine DeLorme Gazetteer – to explore the Maine Lakes Region lakes and ponds included within the towns of:
Bridgton, Harrison, Naples, Casco, Raymond, Gray, Windham, Standish, Sebago, Denmark, Brownfield, Fryeburg, Lovell, Sweden, Stow, Stoneham, Norway, Oxford, Otisfield and Waterford. Some define the area simply as “Portland westward to the White Mountains of New Hampshire” and though a bit broad in scope, it is a delightful region regardless of the specific definition.
Getting back to feeling good about things: There can be great satisfaction in keeping homes and properties looking great. Certainly when it is time to put your property on the market, you pull out all of the stops inside and out. Many buyers will not step inside, if the outside is undesirable. A new window flower box or two, a few bags of mulch, basic landscaping, and a freshly, often first-cut lawn this time of year really matters in how your home appears, to all who see it. Take pride in the visual presentation of your property. Hard work always pays dividends. Looks do matter.
Enjoy the week!
