We find ourselves in Mid July this weekend and due to the weather, it feels like it! Very warm days with increased humidity and much warmer nights are upon us. As we like to do for our appreciated faithful blog readership, here is some information on upcoming events here in the Maine Lakes Region.
Saturday August 6th a Parade between Main Street and Mill street starting at 10:00 am will kick off events in Raymond that will run until 2:00pm to celebrate the 2nd annual Everybody Loves Raymond, ME festival. A catchy name based upon the popular TV series, the festival will feature something for everyone in the family, with music, food, activities of all kinds, and an atmosphere highlighting the value of living and working here in the Maine Lakes Region.. Specifically from the perspective of Raymond, ME and the Raymond Re-vitalization committee expects another excellent turn-out. The free events are to be held in the park, and everyone is invited to attend. And this fall the town of Raymond will be on the national map in early September as Raymond’s resident Marybeth Noonan captured the Miss Maine crown this year, and the 20 year-old will be representing Maine in the Miss America Pageant the week leading up to Sunday night’s September 11th live event scheduled to be broadcast on ABC TV.
