This weekend we find new growth pushing up through the ground and the trees are starting to finally bud out a bit here in the Maine Lakes Region, as is true all over the southern and western parts of the state now. As of this moment the official ice out for Sebago Lake has not yet been declared, with the majority of the surrounding lakes and ponds having official ice out dates ranging from April 16th to April 23rd. We will keep you posted, for our guess a few blogs back of April 24th was spot-on for another large body of water, New Hampshire’s Lake Winnipesaukee.

The Umbrella Factory on Roosevelt Trail in Naples was hopping this past Wednesday evening, full to capacity with Chamber of Commerce members and guest at the annual regional Best of Best Contest get-together and business networking event. It was very well attended, making the usually busy parking lot look a lot more like a midsummer Saturday or Sunday volume, instead of a spring weeknight! We hear that our Maine Lakes Region has a new and hopefully delightful restaurant option in the works, as Naple’s owners of Merced’s, Frank and Elaine, have plans for a 2nd eatery in Windham. Homemade Italian food appears to be the focus so be on the lookout for the name of the new restaurant to be opening as:  Frank’s Bistro. Good luck to them on their new venture! We suggest it is time for you to take a look at how affordable your next dream can be.  Is it that special Maine lakefront home or camp property?  How about building exactly what you want, just where you want to be.  Whether you are thinking about that spot your entire family can enjoy, or that delightful quiet place just for you, now is the time!

We are enjoying this warmer weather, and we want to help you do the same!
