Long Lake runs eleven miles from Naples in the south to Harrison at its northern end, passing through Bridgton along its western shore. The lake is accessible from Route 302 in both Naples and Bridgton, and from Route 35 in Harrison. At the southern end, Long Lake connects to Brandy Pond through the Naples Causeway, and from Brandy Pond boaters can continue through the Songo River and historic Songo Lock into Sebago Lake — a passage that links Long Lake to more than 40 miles of navigable water. The Songo River Queen, a sternwheeler cruise boat, operates on this same route in summer.

Properties on Long Lake range from seasonal camp-style cottages to year-round lakefront homes with private dock rights. The southern end of the lake in Naples is the most active, with marinas, waterfront restaurants, and summer activity concentrated near the Causeway. The Bridgton stretch of the western shore offers properties with direct access to the lake from Route 302. The Harrison end is quieter, with a smaller village character and views back down the full length of the lake. For background on the area, see the Long Lake guide and the town pages for NaplesBridgton, and Harrison.
